I have baked muffins and brownies in this. I love it! I was cooking at 350, and nothing burned- but I did get an amazing crust on my brownies, they were LOVELY looking, and they simply fell out of the pan. I didn't even grease the pan. I don't know why other people have issues with this- but I simple could not be happier, and I only paid 15.99. Is life sweet sometimes or what?

Makes very crispy corncakes and mini kugelhopfs,
This review is from: Berndes Mini Cup Crown Cake Pan (Kitchen)
I would not use this pan over 325 degrees and possibly 300 degrees would be better. The molding is no problem at all but it does crisp quickly and cook quickly. I will next attempt angel food cakes and brownies in this. It is a beautiful pan to look at but not as easy to use as the heart cupcake pan. Because I own this pan I am not tempted by Nordicware's pricier mini bundt pans. I own this pan and the heart pan and I feel satisfied that I have all the cast aluminum I need.

$25 for cast aluminum,

At full price, this brand of German cake pans offer excellent value compared to the slightly higherpriced Nordicware cast aluminum line. Brownies popped right out but the mold does not crisp the corners. Are these the true shape for canneles? |
