This seven-piece cookware set is part of the Berndes SignoCast Classic line. The set includes a 9-1/2-inch skillet, 4-1/4-quart sauté pan, 2-quart saucepan, 7-quart stockpot, and three glass lids. SignoCast Classic cookware is manufactured using vacuum-pressure casting. High-grade aluminum alloys are melted and forced into a mold, ensuring the absence of air bubbles and resulting in a thick base, thin sides, no interior rivets, lightweight construction, and a perfectly flat bottom that never warps. The aluminum base delivers excellent heat distribution and is perfect for gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops.

The cookware's interior and exterior nonstick surfaces ensure easy cleanup and the coating is guaranteed to never chip, crack, peel, blister, or come off. The nonstick surface allows the user to cook by adding little or no fat. Berndes does nonstick right--in 1975, DuPont and Berndes were the first companies to launch nonstick cookware in Europe. Users are not recommended to use metal utensils or dishwashers with SignoCast Classic cookware.

The knobs and ergonomically designed handles stay cool on the stovetop and are oven-safe to 450 degrees F.

Product Description

This cast aluminum cookware set from Berndes is manufactured using vacuum pressure casting that forms a solid cavity for the perfect cooking vessel inside and outside. This vacuum-pressure system of creating cast aluminum cookware is superior to stamped in both shape and thickness. The three-layer nonstick interior and two-layer nonstick exterior surfaces protect food from sticking and burning. The nonstick surface is designed to never chip, crack, blister, bubble, or peel. Ergnomonically designed phenolic handles faciliate safe and easy transportation of the cookware. The SignoCast line is exceptionally easy to clean and facilitates fat-free cooking. The approximately 6 mm thick, perfectly flat base is guaranteed never to warp. In addition, the base has excellent heat conductivity and is perfect for gas, electric, or ceramic stovetops. Also suitable for halogen cooktops. As an added convenience, this cookware is oven-safe to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Limited lifetime warranty.

I had two Berndes pans...a 11" frypan and a 1 qt. saucepan but needed something a big larger. When I saw this set included the 2 QT saucepan and all the pieces with it at that price I couldn't resist! I have been thru three green pans this past year and my other half ruined each of them. I decided to let him try my older Berndes frypan and nothing sticks to it and we use NO OIL! So I am very happy right now to have this set, specially at the price. I almost paid more for the two older pans than this entire set! All I have to do is take a rag and wipe them out! I love them and recommend them highly so hope this helps anyone who is undecided to buy them!

I've been a Berndes lover. I have not seen them sold in the stores for some reason. I got my first set of Berndes eight years ago and the coating just started to come off a little bit. They heat up evenly and are very durable. I like non-stick pots and pans but most of them are cheaply made. If you like non-stick professional pots and pans this is the one to go for. I have been using the new sets of pots. They are really great.

Absolutly love this product. I have been using them for over 15 years. This set was for my daughter and appears to be exactly the same as my old ones. NO PEALING EVER!!! Easiest thing to clean too.
