This 10-piece cookware set is part of the Berndes SignoCast Classic line. The set includes a 9-1/2-inch and 11-inch skillet, 2-1/2-quart sauté pan, 1-1/4-quart and 2-quart saucepans, 10-quart stockpot, and several glass lids.
Berndes SignoCast Classic cookware is manufactured using vacuum-pressure casting. High-grade aluminum alloys are melted and forced into a mold, ensuring the absence of air bubbles and resulting in a thick base, thin sides, no interior rivets, lightweight construction, and a perfectly flat bottom that never warps. The aluminum base delivers excellent heat distribution and is perfect for gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops.
The cookware's interior and exterior nonstick surfaces ensure easy cleanup and the coating is guaranteed to never chip, crack, peel, blister, or come off. The nonstick surface allows the user to cook by adding little or no fat. Berndes does nonstick right--in 1975, DuPont and Berndes were the first companies to launch nonstick cookware in Europe. Users are not recommended to use metal utensils or dishwashers with SignoCast Classic cookware.
The knobs and ergonomically designed handles stay cool on the stovetop and are oven-safe to 450 degrees F.

We actually purchased this set about 3 years ago. I came across it here on Amazon and though I would take a second a write a review. This cookware is amazing! Cooks evenly, cleans up instantly, and after almost 3 years of use, it is still like brand new. Very heavy duty, strong non-stick coating, and will not warp like the cheap stuff.
If you are considering a new cookware set, do not hesitate to purchase anything by Berndes, it is worth the money. Follow Up: It's now 2010 and we are still using this cookware. The fry pan is gone but that is due to my teenagers cooking with it and using sharp utensils. Amazing after almost 10 years, this cookware is still holding up.

I got this set for x-mas and it is fantastic. The 11" skillet has steep sides so it holds an entire meal, while the smaller skillet is perfect for eggs or small jobs. The stock pot works wonderfully for gumbo. I have not had anything burn with this set and clean up is as simple as warm water and a sponge. The glass lids all fit perfectly. I did have one lid handle that was attached backwards, but 5 seconds with a screwdriver fixed that. Must have been hitting the beer a bit heavy that morning in the factory :)The stuff is MASSIVE, so make sure you have large cabinets to store them and strong arms to lift them. I have dinged up the skillet a bit but the non-stick coating is thick enough so small scratches do not get through, so it still performs well. Compared to the thin, warped, scratched stainless and non-stick junk I had before, these pots and pans are just fantastic. I only gave them 4 stars because I don't have a lot of experience with high quality cookware and there could be something better out there, who knows?

We purchased 2 full sets for each of our homes. They guarantee that the paint will not chip off. Since you cannot put them in a dishwasher, we hand washed them using a soft sponge. One side being cloth and the other side being a plastic material. Over a period of about 2 years, the paint started chipping off the top rims. We sent 3 of them back without lids along with a check to cover shipping. They sent us 3 new pots with lids in 4 weeks. A good thing about the pots is that once they are heated up, you can cut the burner down. The pots have not scratched our glass top ranges. Glass lids are excellent. Food does not stick inside.
