This is an easy read with loads of information. It is a must for anyone considering a BMD as it really focuses on life with a berner. This book should be read before and after getting a Bernese. The training section is very helpful as well.

Great foundational book for someone looking for useful information on living with a Bernese Mountain Dog. Well written, easy to understand and can be a quick reference.

I am getting a Bernese and am constantly searching for more information on the breed. This book has lots of great pictures and is easy to read. It is good for anyone who wants to learn more about the breed. There is a section on training in addition to the sections about the breed and living with the dog. A must if you are thinking about getting a Bernese.

Crawford's book offers an extremely detailed analysis of the aspects concerning life with a Bernese Mountain Dog. I am currently in the process of searching for the right BMD for myself and found this book to be helpful and rewarding in my decision to get a BMD

This book is a general guide for all breeds and does have some photos of bernese mountain dogs and it covers all types of health problems, training, and puppy info and other important issues in owning dogs, however it is in general covering all dog breeds and I would recommend "Bernese Mountain Dogs by "Amy Christiansen". However, these are two of the top books that I would give to anyone who has an interest in the Bernese Mountain Dog. I presently own both books.

The book was highly informative and worth the money. It was nice to read a book that was breed specific. There are chapters that could be for any breed. However 90% of the book is only about Bernese Mountain Dogs. Great for anyone who has a Berner or interested in one!!!

I have purchased several books on the BMD. And by far, this is one of my favorites. The techniques and information offered to raise and train your BMD are great, and easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend this for any Berner owner, current or prospective.

There aren't as many books out there about the Bernese Mountain dog, but I've found this one to be helpful for an overall understanding of the breed and it's history, as well as an understanding of AKC standards for the breed, without feeling like it was written for children.

This book provides a good overview for raising a puppy. Mostly generic information... I live with a berner... looking for something more specific to the breed...
