Very nice looking, but not worth the money.,

While this patio heater looks more modern and streamlined than the regular "top down" heaters, it basically doesn't work. About 90% of the heat goes straight up, so hot you could cook a meal over it. The rest radiates out about 2 feet at best. The result: if the heater is in the middle of a space, sitting around it is comfortable. But usually people sit around a table, so putting this heater to the side or behind you has limited application. The literature states a 10 foot area. It is more like 2-3 feet.

Have had about a year now, and used not all that much....took it out again this winter for use, and the pilot would not light...changed the battery, checked the wiring and still no success. Called Bernzomatic and they said that they stopped making them. Asked about repair, and said that I was on my own. For the little use its had, now have to light it with a match. Poor quality, and not much support from the manufacturer, and expensive!

This heater would not light second season I have used it. Only used a couple of times. What do I do now? ANybody have an idea? New gas cylinder, new regulator, new battery
