Longtime baseball fans will recall the charm of listening to games on the radio, and listening to radio shows featuring baseball stars and baseball comedy. The latter group is featured on this production, a marvelous compilation of material from 1937 to 1950. Although Yogi Berra lends his name to the product, his contribution is limited to a short introduction. The remainder of the production features some of the best baseball radio shows of all time, including Abbott and Costello's "Who's On First?" There are other gems, like Bob Hope and Babe Ruth entertaining the troops. In short, this compilation is an entertaining trip down baseball's memory lane. Even though some of the recordings are scratchy, that doesn't detract from the material; instead, it adds to the charm.
