Pretty much everything to grow raspberries and blackberries,
By Michael A. Duvernois (Minneapolis, MN United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)

It's just a little pamphlet, but it seems to have the collected knowledge of growing raspberries and blackberries in its 30 pages. No frills, but clear, well written, concise, and infinitely wise. If you plan to have a berry patch you should own and read this booklet.

My husband really likes this booklet because it's not intimidating. He's not one to read a thick book. This booklet gives concise and very helpful information about care of your raspberries/blackberries. I reccomend it for anyone starting with these types of berries.

There is a lot of detail and sometimes if feels like the procedures for, planting specifically, seemed a little bit over kill, however, all of the information was very useful and helpful. It's better to have more information than not enough. It was easy to read and appears to be easy to reference in the future. Another bonus, it was very affordable! I would definitely recommend this little book!

Helpful for a blackberry grower,

I just have a small patch of blackberries and they are doing well. But I wanted to know more about what I was doing with them, so I bought this booklet. Half of the booklet is devoted to Raspberries, which I cannot grow in Florida. However the other half was devoted to Blackberries, and they had some good ideas. I did not realize for example that there are upright blackberries and vining type blackberries and what I do have is the vining ones (BUT they are thornless and that is a plus). They show how to build a trellis for them which I plan to do this weekend. Another good section is how to prune them for the most yield. I never had any idea I would need to prune them. I think it is a booklet well worth having if you are planning to grow any amount of blackberries.
