An excellent continuation of the saga. You get to see Guts go wild in the Berserker armor he was given, but also get to see the flaws in it. In this one, you also get to see more about the Kushan conflict and Griffiths role in it. Very nice, I think they did a great job of moving the story from one plot circle to the other. Enough blood, gore, and monster to appease even the most twisted of individuals I will say this is a great book.

Fun, jaw dropping, bad ass, but not as bad ass as volume 16, and leaving me wanting more. Here it is, volume 17 in the english format with all its wit and wonder.

Sadly, a book series must have a story and can't be made up entirely of gory fight scenes. In this book everybody's favorite bearer of the booty's bane behemoth blade (ya like that?) steps back from battle and the plot threads of Miura's epic are woven tighter. It has some nice character moments though that make them, especially Guts, seem more human. Not a bad addition to the series. sadly, if i told more it would give the whole volume away.
