Shears is right! These things are huge and have cut through anything so far. The only drawback I have seen (and not enough to drop the rating) is that if you have small hands, these shears might be too big to use. Especially for the price at which these are offered, everyone should have a pair.

I needed a big pair of scissors for cutting extruded plastic tubes, I am very happy with this pair they work great. The price was less than half of other brands that I compared.

Sharp. Heavy. Duty.I buy a decent amount on amazon and rarely review. I make the effort only for the couple items that really surprise me. These shears do, absolutely. Wow!

Cutting jobs are best with minimal strokes. Multiple cuts can leave uneven edges and add more work to a job. Unlike cheap blades with serrated edges that cut like a saw, expensive knives, or shears, are like razors, and cut when the fabric touches it.This Bessey has a 12" blade, so a single stroke cuts a good length. Its held together by a nut and bolt so it can easily be disassembled for sharpening or tightened to insure the blades shear together properly, to compensate for wear and tear as it ages. Bessey's is all steel. Its not fancy or something to look at like the reputable Gingher shears, but it does the job for less money, and having had one similar shear, know it can last a lifetime. |
