This clamp has the ultimate combination of brawn and simplicity. You really CAN apply it with one hand.

The lever action is very convenient because I can operate it from either direction. That's a big plus because when one-handed clamping is needed I don't have to "pretzel" myself into an awkward position to get leverage. Follow initial clamping with the screw action handle,and you can get some incredible holding pressures.

I was a little concerned about the bar's strength because pictures seemed to show that it was a curved tube, so clamping could spring it out of square. Not so however. The bar stock is beefy iron and isn't going anywhere.

This is an ideal construction clamp for one-handed use.

The only handicap is the cost. It's about twice the price of single action bar clamps, but this thing is a triple action unit, and it really does what it promises. It will easily hold large timbers in place for bolting, pull bowed or warped pieces together, and hold iron parts/pipes for welding. I wish I could afford more of them.

Downfalls? Only one - it cannot be reversed to make it a spreader clamp

I did a lot of reviewing before purchasing this type of clamp.
It preforms excellent. The only problem is the quick release is no so quick. in fact its hard to release. Also the arm does not run up and down the shaft smooth due to the roughness of the shaft.
