Bessey SVH Clamping System,
By Kevin Nolan, K & S Woodworking (Noblesville, Indiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bessey SVH400XL SVH Flooring and Clamping System (Tools & Home Improvement)
Being a professional flooring installer, I have had the opportunity to try numerous laminate flooring clamps. The Bessey SVH Flooring and Clamping System is the only one on the market to have a strap length of 24'. Competitors' clamps are normally only 18'. The design of the clamp ensures that you will never chip or mar the flooring surface while providing more clamping pressure than you will ever need. The thumb screw on the front of the clamp virtually eliminates the need for spacers around the perimeter of the room. Overall,I highly recommend the Bessey SVH Flooring and Clamping System for both professionals and do it yourselfers.

good clamps,
By T H Wilson (newport news, Va United States) - See all my reviews

I'm just a do it your selfer, I'm installing 1500 sqft of flooring in my own house. I bought 8 clamps, they our great for pulling joints together. I found that once joints our pulled tight that blue tape holds them in place. If clamps our pulled to tight your last row will come up. I could have easily gotten by with only 2 clamps.

great tool buy enough for your job,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bessey SVH400XL SVH Flooring and Clamping System (Tools & Home Improvement)
I saw this tool on one of the home improvement shows. Usually, for floating floor installations it's just 'glue & tap the tongue into the grove using a scrap piece'. Using a clamping system is just better and easier. The only thing is BUY ENOUGH CLAMPS for your job size/room. The instructions say use 1 clamp every 30 inches; that's a little too generous, but don't skimp here. Spend a little more--buy several for the long way and one for clamping width-wise. You'll have a job that moves a long quickly and looks like a pro did it.
