I have recently puchased several sizes of the Tradesman clamps offered by Bessey. I am delighted with their performance. The Bessey clamp is far superior to other bar clamp offerings from suppliers such as Jorgensen. The Bessey clamps have a much sturdier bar and larger clamp screw with ACME threads. They also come with protective plastic pads that do not marr the project. Jorgensen on the other hand requires you to purchase protective pads seperately and they tend to leave an oily mark. The Bessey clamps are simple to operate and the serated edge and set screw system work flawlessly. By far the most clamp for the money.

The clamps are made the right way stiff and sturdy. They are better than other clamps similar to this stile, stay away form the cheap clamps. I have the 6", 12", 18", 24", 30" 36" clamps and I know I will buy some more, which I just ordered 6 more of the TGJ2.506 2 ½" x 6, little bit pricey, but WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

The Bessey 6" clamps are the most useful clamps in my workshop. These clamps are used at least 10 times more often than any of my larger clamps. The recent sale (now over) made these 6" clamps a best buy. I wish I had bought more.

The nice thing about the Bessey Tradesmen's is that they are heavier duty than the competition, in the medium duty class, and you don't have to take out a second mortgage to afford a set of them. The locking mechanism works without any hassles, and the grip is strong. All in all a nice piece of equipment. A major competitor sells this model for less money, but it is also a lighter weight clamp. I like them all. Bessey makes great stuff, you can't go wrong with these. They are a great general-purpose clamp. Highly recommended.

I'm your average weekend woodworker. Over the last thirty years, I've accumulated quite a collection of clamps, ranging from twin-screw wooden monsters down to miniature c-clamps. Since I bought a couple (now up to five!) of these recently, they have become my first choice when I need to clamp something. They generate more than enough force for most purposes and are strong and easy to adjust...just slide the jaw forward and a twist of the handle locks it in place.

Unlike similar clamps offered by a different vendor, these have plastic pads on both jaw surfaces. Highly recommended.

I own Bessey K bodies from 12" to 96" and Bessey tradesmen clamps from 12" to 36" and the clamps that I use the most without a doubt are the smaller clamps for subassemblies, securing work to the bench, etc. These little 6" tradesmen clamp are my new go to small clamp when I don't want some excess clamp bar hanging out from some work getting in the way etc. These little clamps are real tools not toys - they are very strong and give all the clamping pressure that you'd expect to get from a tradesmen clamp. I only bought 4 but will be looking to pick-up a few more as I'm very pleased with how they have become so useful in the shop.

Clamps and un-clamps quickly. Great for carpentry/furniture building projects. Has a strong clamping power without feeling like I am going to twist the wood handle off.
