Got these clamps a few months ago, they are great. These clamps are just a shadow of their bigger brothers the parallel cabinet clamps, but that's good. When I had light duty clamp jobs to do, I was using the bigger heavier duty parallel cabinet clamps but they were just too big and heavy for some of my light work. Got these uniklamps and they were just what the doctor ordered. Couldn't do without them now. Highly recommend them for light clamping jobs.

I like the way these clamps work because they put strong, even pressure on a big area without your having to exert excessive force. They are a little tricky to adjust, but well worth getting used to. One negative is that, while the heads are glue-resistant, the metal bars are not, and glue gets set into the very fine teeth. You'll need a wire brush on a bench grinder for cleanup.

I would give these clamps 10 stars if I could. They are perfect for many of the mid-sized projects where the larger clamps are too bulky.

I have always complained about having to use regular size parallel clamps on small jobs - they are too heavy, too big and not very convenient on small size projects. This is where these little guys come very handy. I like them and would recommend them to anyone working on small projects.

I love these things. The trick to getting the jaw to slide easily is to push right on the clutch discs with your thumb. You can't tip the jaw and expect it to slide.

I agree with my fellow reviewers. These are indeed a small K Body. I remember seeing these in store over a year ago and thinking `Nah, they're too light' but I'm glad I ordered 2 sets for a test in the shop.

In spite of how light they are, clamp pressure is adequate for most jobs. The UniKlamp does require a few more twists than the larger K to feel tight on a face frame or edge work. Moving the handle along the bar feels a little tighter than the K Body, but it was easy enough to get used to. After a few rounds on a recent project, I discovered a sweet spot behind the handle where my finger easily slides the clamp closed or open. The light weight really comes in handy for positioning in tight or aquward spaces.

There are only 36 Besseys in my 200+ collection, but they're always my first choice. These little gray guys fit the bill for short length work. I Need More!

I bought two complete sets of these recently to compliment the larger Bessey K bodies I use in my shop. If you own any K bodies, you'll know right away the quality and ease of use they are known for.(just read the reviews!) These are no exception. The uniclamp is just a smaller, lighter duty version. I'm very pleased.

I purchased these in hopes that they would be like the old red Bessey classic clamps (they look similar). They are very light weight about 40 percent smaller than the originals though! not like the classic red Besseys at all. Just something to keep in mind when purchasing....

The Bessey Uniklamps are my favorite clamps. Bought two more of these sets and was surprised to find the 18" clamps have been replaced with 24" clamps. Also the plastic heads on the long clamps are black instead of the usual gray. So it looks like Bessey is refreshing the Uniklamp line. I did notice on most of the clamps in this set, even the shorter ones, that the heads are canted in more rather than starting out parallel. It requires a lot more clamping force to bring them parallel. Some people who like to really clamp down on things may prefer that, but I don't like it as it tends to cause the parts to move around while you are applying the clamping force, so that is why I am knocking off one star.

I bought these clamps based on the positive reviews. Upon receiving them and opening the box, My first impression was "damned kids toys". However,after using these guys for two weeks now, these are definitely not kids toys. I love them. Perfect for small to medium clamping applications. To open, just lift the handle a little and pull - just like their big brother parallel clamps. My Bessey and Jorgensen F style clamps have been replaced as the go to clamps for small applications. The only thing I don't like is the classic Bessey red-wooden handle. I wish the handle had more grip.
