I bought the Bessey SCRUS 4 inch clamp to replace my old C-Clamps that had finally bit the dust. The 4 inch clamping capacity of the Bessey provides for all the work I do in the shop with one easy action rather than the continuous "spinning" of the screw on the old C-clamps. I get my work "clamped down" quickly and easily, make the cut, mark or other action, squeeze the quick release trigger and I'm ready for the next job.

I store the clamps on the pegboard in the open position as I fear the spring action may deteriorate over time (I don't use them daily or even weekly), but the space between the clamp and spring seems to work in holding them in place.

I'd recommend these clamps to anyone.

I purchased several of these clamps. They have screws that act as hinges and they frequently loosen and cause the clamps to fail. I will never purchase any items from this manufacturer in the future. The Irwin clamps I have purchased are much better quality than the Bessey products.

Strong, reliable, tight, precise, and fast, what else could one want? So much better than its immediate competitors, a great ratchet catch combined with soft pads and firm limbs, while I'm always looking, a better tool will be hard to find.

This design, except for making doll houses, musical instruments, is worthless.

Very cheap plastic rachet design doesn't work...

--- whoever designed this tool never used it in the field...
