This is an awesome CD. Volume 2 is as well.

This is some feel good, old school, rock n roll for Jesus.

What can you say about Larry Norman? This guy was one of the tiny handful that dared stray from stodgy hymns and traditional gospel to bring the Christian message to the rock & roll world.
This two-CD set is a treasure trove of Larry's music, showcasing his amazing lyrical talent, his vocal range (one of the few guys that can pull of singing falsetto and still sound great), his huge heart for reaching the unsaved, his sense of humor and the formidable talents of the other musicians in his band.
Some of the songs will sound dated by "today's standards" due to production style and arrangements, but the the message in the music is as powerful as ever. If you (like me) had an album or three on vinyl of Larry's and have been frustrated by the lack of CDs available, this collection will become a cherished possession.
After Larry's untimely passing this year, it seems all the more appropriate to re-listen to these seminal "Jesus Music" songs, and share them with someone who is too young to remember them from the first time around. If it weren't for Larry, there may not be a Newsboys, DC Talk, Kutless, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Third Day or Matt Redman... you just never know!
