A Listmania! list by J. Norburn(Quesnel, BC, Canada)
The list author says: "While the 80's weren't exactly the golden age for rock music, there were a few good albums. I graduated from highschool in 1981 and I remember the 80's well, but it's admittedly a shallow pool. There were a couple of tough calls to make on eligability, but in the end I determined that The Wall was released in the 70's and London Calling was released in the 80's (1979 in England, Jan 1980 in US). Greatest Hits albums were not considered. These are, in my humble opinion, the best albums 1980 - 1989."
"Quite possibly the best album of all time. Pretty close to flawless. Stand out tracks: Red Hill Mining Town, With or Without You, Still Haven't Found, Trip Through Your Wires... ok... the whole album stands out."
"GnR stands head and shoulders above the sea of ridiculous hair metal bands that dominated the late 80's. This album has stood the test of time and is quite simply one of the best pure rock albums of all time. Standout tracks: Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child O Mine."
