4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic collection of recipes, June 5, 2009
This review is from: The Best 50 Dessert Tarts (Paperback)
If you're looking for 'how to', any of Sandra Rudloff's cookbooks are sure to please. This set of 'no frills' cookbooks may lack in aesthetics, but all of the recipes, I have found, are very good. If you need something to take to a cookout or dinner at a friend's house, you can pick a recipe from here to arrive with confidence that your food will be delicious.
I've purchased A Pinch of Time, and Flexible Fare, too, and I often have friends and neighbors ask me to share these recipes.

2.0 out of 5 stars More of a Pamphlet than a Book, March 22, 2008
This review is from: The Best 50 Dessert Tarts (Paperback)
While some of the recipes in this text do appeal (apple, pear, and dried cherry tart for example), I was disappointed when I opened the shipment box and found a 4.5 X 6 inch booklet that seems to be nothing more than a collection of recipe cards bound together. The only picture is the one on the cover. That doesn't mean the recipes are bad, I was just expecting a bit more, somehow. I certainly wouldn't have paid 6 bucks for this unless I was really sold on the recipes.
