Aaron Neville has a unique singing style that is based on his falsetto range and a specialized kind of vibrato that, to me, sounds like a beautiful alto flute. He still has a masculine sound, but it puts some people off. However there are so many of us who love his voice that we are also happy to have this great Christmas collection.

For a pop singer, his version of "O Holy Night" is fabulous and while he has the normal pop vocal cheats, the emotion and power of this version is quite straight. His version of Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song" is about the best thing on the album.

He does a fine cover of "White Christmas" as are the other holiday fun songs "Let it Snow", "Such a Night". I like his "Please Come Home for Christmas" and the hymns "O Little Town of Bethlehem", and "Silent Night" are done with reverence and are quite moving. The "Louisiana Christmas Day" is a wonderful Cajun song. He finishes with "The Star Carol" and "The Bells of St. Mary's".

This is a great holiday album to have on sitting with someone you care about in front of a fire enjoying the season and each other.

What can I say.....two of my alltime favorites, Christmas music and Aaron Neville. His amazing voice and unique arrangements are always a treat. "Please Come Home for Christmas" and "Louisiana Christmas Day" are "Such a Night" are favorites. Rev up your Christmas spirit with Aaron's amazing voice! I'm treating myself to his other Christmas CD next year.....the heck with waiting for Santa!!

This is the best Christmas CD ever. Aaron Nevelle's beautiful voice makes all the classics seem fresh. Next year, I'm buying these CDs for friends.

Aaron Neville has an angelic voice. He is unmatched by anyone else in the music industry. When you hear his music, you immediately know its him singing because once you hear him, you're hooked and you'll know that truly wonderful unmistakable voice after two seconds of hearing it.

Great sounds - played it thru out the holiday season. Can't wait for next year so I can play it again. I have several of Aaron's CDs & love them all.

I was very happy to find that A&M Records has re-issued the 1993 Aaron Neville's Soulful Christmas as part of it's 20th Century Masters collection. My original copy has become scuffed and scratched from much play over the last ten years, and I had never ripped a copy of it or backed it up...

Aaron Neville has such a unique voice and it is always such a pleasure to listen to his music .. it goes without saying he does justice to all the old Christmas classics as well as some new ones.

Absolutely one of THE BEST Christmas CDs I've ever listened to. I had one several years ago but it got lost in our many moves so I was thrilled to be able to find it through Amazon.com.

I grew up listening to this cd at Christmas time year after year( born in 87) I Still listen to this CD everyday during the holidays. Love Love Love it! Gets me in the Christmas mood. Id recommend this to anyone!!!:)
