The Alarm are from Wales and not Scotland. That being said, they are the best band to ever come out of Wales.

Simply put, this is an outstanding release that covers well the wonderful career of the Alarm. Additionally, some gems from Mike Peters solo career are here too.

This really covers the Alarm's incredible song catalogue and shows how good they were as a band. The song writing is amazing and they have incredibly catchy and yet thoughtful tunes. You can't go wrong here buying this compilation.

It's too bad that The original Alarm aren't together anymore. Mike Peters, their singer, has his version of The Alarm touring but they are not close to the appeal of the original guys. Still Mike's work is fine and his version of the Alarm are worth seeing too. It's just that the original guys are so great you miss them.

Please buy this CD. It's wonderful like The Alarm are and you'll love it.

To settle this discussion, they are definitely Welsh. They are also one of the most brilliant bands ever, in my opinion. Having seen them live several times in the mid-80s only added to this impression.

Often referred to as "the U2 of Wales" the Alarm were a highly influential band of the 90's from the 80's. If you ever buy 1 Alarm album go for this one which highlights their career as well as giving you a sampling of front man Mike Peter's solo work.

If you like 80s music, you will like it. I bought it for the one track, rain in the summertime, but then remembered many of the others after listening to it. Just a good CD to play and enjoy. Quite a mix of music, very 80s'.
