5.0 out of 5 stars Now I know!, February 3, 2009
This review is from: Best Answers to 202 Job Interview Questions: Expert Tips to Ace the Interview and Get the Job Offer (Paperback)
I never really knew what all those obscure job interview questions were about. Now I know!

Fortunately, I haven't had to job hunt in a long while, but if I do have to in the near future, this is the book I'll use to prepare.

Not only do the authors explain why each question is asked, and what information the interviewer really wants from the answer, they also suggest a best answer, along with many other alternate answers. I liked the alternate suggestions, because they demonstrated how you could personalize answers to suit the way you think and talk. This keeps your answers from sounding scripted.

One question in particular made me laugh. Just so you know, if anyone asks you about the weather, keep your answer brief and neutral. They don't want to talk about the weather at all, and they want to see whether you are the type to natter on about inconsequential matters. I'd better clue in my spouse, who is a weather weenie and given the chance would pontificate at length about cloud patterns, precipitation and the five-day forecast!
