It's quite refreshing these days to listen to hardcore punk without hearing any bull about being a straight edge or about how punk and hardocore they are. These guys are punk and they know it. They don't have to sell you on thier image. If you're ready to hear some hardcore punk give the anti-nowhere league, but if you're not "SO WHAT".

The ANL are one of the most important oi! bands of all time. Anyone who's into the scene can tell you that, and songs like "So What" (posibly the edgiest punk song ever) prove it. The band has got two sides: A punk side, and a more straight up rock side. Either way, you can't go wrong, because all the songs rock! Despite this statement, there are ones that stand above the rest, and those are "I Hate People", "We Are The League", "The Ballad of JJ Decay", "Queen and Country", and of course "So What"

You cannot go wrong with ANL. Especially if you're a fan of Fear, Sham 69, or the UK Subs.

If you like the angst of UK 80's punk this is a good taste of the league. This band thumbed there nose at the punk movement and considered themselves something else. What they billed themselves as were The Anti-Band; the song We are the League touches on that.The argument of if they were a Brit Biker band out to piss Europeans off or punk band is now history. Punk band, Biker band whatever this album is good at giving a taste of the Leagues music. It also foreshadows a change in there music style to a Big Country type band. If you like UK Subs, GBH, Broken bones etc a best bet would be buy the Live in Yugoslavia album. All in all not a bad History of what the band was about.
