3.0 out of 5 stars Come Up Short For Greatness!
Ashford & Simpson is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in the R & B-Soul category. Too bad there aren't enough great Hits on the C.D. to give it a worth-well reason to promote it better. Don't get me wrong, I love Soul, R&B, but there's only one song on the album I remember. And that's 'Solid', great song. I think the problem with notoriety is the lack of playing time...

Not only have they been performing for eons but they have composed some major musical hits for others. This is a terrific collection of some of their most popular hits. With all the re -editing on this new release, their wonderful harmonizing which has always been superb is that much more a treat for my ears. As a duet they are truly solid as a rock

Major brownie points were earned with this cd. I think she is trying to wear out this one. She keeps it in her car and plays it frequently, always a good omen.

My cuzo and I listened to this by the park. It took us way back, had us both trying to duet, me-Nick and she-Val, especially "It seems to hang On". That's the JAM! Let's not forget Solid as a Rock! Someone really put this together. All the right songs. I'm very delighted. Peace-"OLD SCHOOl" "76"

Ashford and Simpson can't be beat in my book. Great songs by a great pair of singers and songwriters. In memory of Nick Ashford- a great talent who will be truly missed.
