Great Collection for Iron Maiden completests.
Miguel Rivera
I've heard Dream Theater covers (in fact, of Iron Maiden) and realized that I love Dream Theater, but their sound works best with their writing.
Matthew Schwarz
Excellent way of hearing Maiden songs that would otherwise cost a fortune if you bought all the singles.
Al Hendrix

While i do recommend this purchase for any big fan of Maiden i was a little disappointed. What is clear is that Maiden is better at writing their own material than doing cover songs. My favorite thing about the CD was being able to hear the exact style of the songs compared to the years in which they were written. That Girl and Kill Me Ce Soir are incredible tracks. There are also great live versions of Remember Tommorow and Wasted Years. I would suggest getting this just don't anticipate every song to be a masterpiece like i did.

This is a 2CD set of single b-sides that was part of the Eddie's Archive box set. It's mostly made up of cover songs, with a few live versions and a couple of non-album originals. While not as good (or consistant) as a proper Iron Maiden album, it's a treat for fans who have the proper albums and want a little more.
There's a couple originals missing here (mostly ones that have been put on the American and remaster CDs - "Sanctuary", "Twilight Zone", and "Total Eclipse" - all of which are top-notch Maiden classics, but also "I Live My Way" from the X-factor sessions). The band did a number of joke songs as b-sides, some of which are missing here but some of which are present: Black Bart Blues, Nodding Donkey Blues are OK, Sheriff of Huddersfield is an Adrian Smith song from Somewhere In Time that wasn't used so they put silly lyrics over it and used it for a b-side. Which is a shame - it's actually a good song musically and would've been better served if they put real vocals on it and made it a proper Maiden song! Aside from that, we get two more X-Factor extras (Justice of the Piece and Judgement Day) which, being shorter and fast-paced, might've worked nicely on the album (I think Japan got a 2CD edition with the 3 extra tracks), "Invasion" (a fine track from the "Killers" era), and "Burning Ambition", which was the first song Steve Harris ever wrote (which is kind of cool just because it's a little different - not quite as metal, but a good song and has that great 1980 Maiden studio sound).
There's a few live tracks and two songs from the first album redone with Bruce in '88. The two live Blaze tracks are a rare official live release from that era The live "Futureal" is a chance to hear Bruce do a Blaze song we don't hear elsewere.

An excellent album with the unforgetable classic sound that made this band an all-time favorite for many people...
even the songs with blaze, are very good.
Burning ambition has a very sweet initial riff that will keep inside your head the entire day...
the live version of remember tomorrow sounds fresh as rain, even it has more than 20 years!!
the live version of Drifter... gets a little into the Marley style "wayo-yo-yo" in the middle of the song and is like.. strange, but it's also a good adquisition...
I loved the new versions of "Prowler" and "charlotte..."
this is a strange album since it looks like an off-the-official-list of maiden albums, like it were produced and sold exclusively by the record company.. but i'm really glad i got it, and i stringly recommend it.

Simply brilliant is the best phrase to describe this package. It's filled with rare tracks that Iron Maiden has never used and now all Iron Maiden followers can enjoy the tracks that Maiden covered from the many bands they heard before coming together, and some Maiden-written tracks that they never recorded on albums. I also like to state that there are some great tracks that never made it into this album including:
Women In Uniform
I Live My Way (We get Judgment Day but not this track)
I'm pretty sure their are more rare tracks that I haven't listed but with that aside, this is one box set that you wouldn't want to miss.
Note: This double-disk package can omly be found in the Eddie's Archive special box set, however this box is now extremely rare so I suggest that if you can't find this box, download the songs.

I love Iron Maiden. I've got all the studio albums (except the New Frontier), therefore I never felt the need to get the single albums that would come out with each studio album. so I didn't know what came on the b-sides. I saw this not to long ago and decided to give it a try. All though they did great versions of many song that aren't their own, those that weren't their own songs (and that's most of them) didn't have that unique sound of theirs, in any of those songs at all. So it is full of a lot of good music just don't expect that wonderful and unique sound that is Iron Maiden.

I fell back in love with Iron Maiden when I read about Nicko Mcbrain and Steve Harris' faith and looking for a "best of" which featured both Bruce Dickinson and Paul Dianno I found one and it did not disappoint. The first 3 songs had Paul on vocals, the rest have Bruce, most songs being covers. King of Twilight, Crosseyed Mary and I've Got the Fire are all outstanding covers and Drifter live and Remember Tomorrow live (Bruce on Vocals) made me remember why I fell in love with the music from the beginning.
