This is one of the best and varied baby afghans book that I have ever seen. Skills ranging from simple beginners to challenging advanced. The book provides clear concise step by step instructions, wonderful color graphics and photos and a huge variety of afghans from mile a minute to granny squares and join as you go techniques. In the one month that I have purchased this book, I have made two afghans from it, and planning to make more for my many nieces. This is a book that will help you along as your skills improve.

This was one of the first books of crochet patterns I bought and it continues to be a valuable part of my pattern library. I am still a beginning/slightly intermediate crocheter and I have been able to make several of the afghans in this book with no problems. Instructions clear and photographs helpful. I am currently making the "Simply Beautiful" shell pattern afghan in Bernat's "Baby Coordinates" yarn in pale yellow, and it's coming out gorgeous - it almost looks like lace, but the pattern couldn't be easier. I'm sure this book will supply many more baby gifts in years to come.

Potential buyers should know that this book contains ONLY crochet patterns. There are no knit patterns. The book itself is beautiful, and the blankets are lovely, but this would have been good to know before buying the book - I don't crochet! :-)

I am almost finished with one of the afghans in the book, and I found it went very fast and the pattern is easy to follow - I would make it again. I don't do a lot of crochet - I make about one afghan a year, so I wouldn't consider myself an expert. I bought the book after flipping through it in a craft store and saw that the afghans were really cute (great color photos!) and the instructions were easy to understand. Reading through some of the other patterns in the book, I found a few other afghans that don't look too hard and I might try. Some of the afghans do look a little complex (from a beginner-level perspective) but I'm the type who doesn't like to count and prefer repetitive patterns. So I'd say there's a good mix of more repetitive and some that are more intricate for those who prefer a challenge - but all of them look adorable - I just wish I was more skilled (and had more time) so I could make more of them! My only complaint is that I think it should show levels of difficulty for each afghan so I wouldn't accidentally start something I think is easy only to decide I can't finish it when I get to the complicated part.

This is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys crocheting. This soft covered book contains the best collections of baby afghans and throws for little girls and boys.
I first purchased this book in 1998 and used it repeatedly over the years. Somewhere along the line I LOST my book. It only seemed natural to go on line and try to find my favorite old pattern book. To my surprise, there it was at amazon.com, my first stop. On my next visit to a craft store, there it was again still in print. I should have realized that "Our Best Baby Afghans" would pass the test of time and still be available.
If you are looking for that extra special something different gift, this one's for you.

I've had this book for several years now. It's one of my favorite, most-used crochet pattern books. The 54 patterns are very cute and, best of all, are error free. If you are looking for some great ideas for baby blankets this is the book to get.

I'm more than pleased with this book. My mom made each of her new grandchildren an afhan to welcome and comfort their entrance into the world, and now it's my turn. With a new baby girl due very soon, my favorite baby afghn book book has gone among the missing. . . so, I ordered OUR BEST BABY AFGHANS by Leisure Arts. There are 54 beautiful patterns to choose from, all beautifully photographed. I hoped and expected to find a few that I liked, but there are so many gorgeous afghans, I'm having a difficult time choosing just one favorite. Even the simplest patterns are lovely. This book is a great resource.

The book contains many dainty patterns ideal for newborns and babies and some of which are suitable for quick crocheting. I am absolutely delighted with the book. I recommend this book to all crochet lovers who are looking for a special design for a special baby.

Great crochet baby blanket book-the only one you'll need!! Beautiful patterns and all different levels of difficulty. A must have!!

This is the best gallery of baby afghans in one book that I have seen. There are so many wonderful afghans, it is too hard to choose which one to make. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I have several great nieces and nephews being born and each will love their afghan from here. Would highly recommend this book to the beginner as well as advanced crocheter. My Mom loved mine so much, I ordered one for her too!
