"I tied this (tightly) to the center/top of the Tiny Love Gymini play mat and both of my girls absolutely LOVED this mobile. They both loved "talking" to the little images on the mobile as it went round and round. The music it plays is lovely and gentle."
"Lovely for the crib. Soothing and beautiful to look at. After my daughter out-grew her crib, I let her keep her fountain near her big-girl bed. Instead of putting her in a time-out, I would sometimes tell her to crawl into her bed with her fountain to "cool down"."
"This is one of the most important baby items to own. You'll need this for your car seat. A newborn is just too small to fit comfortably in a car seat without this. Also, this is a great item for a baby jogger stroller!"
"Truth is, you don't need a stroller the first 6 months or so, all you need is this. When I was pregnant, friends advised me to buy this. Your baby will fall asleep in the car, you don't want to wake her moving her into a stroller. You can avoid all of that with this. Check Craigslist for used ones."
"This was amazing, especially for the first 4 months. My daughter slept in the little bassinet, which is attached to the top and removable. Kept this against my bed from day one. I could reach over and put my hand on her. The changing table is removable. There's a whitenoise machine with music and nature sounds. My daughter is now 9 months, I use it as a playpen."
"My daughter loves slices of cold pear in this bag now that she can hold it by herself. You can also put your baby's teething biscuit in here (when they are old enough to eat wheat) and not worry about choking on crumbs or a big piece."
"It's sounds kind of funny to rave about two little mice, but these mice are THE BEST. Both daughters loved them. My 9-month-old makes herself laugh whipping them around by the tail. When shaken, one squeaks, the other rattles. Haba is a great toy company."
"My pediatrician always commented that neither of my girls suffered from diaper rashes. I swear it was because I only used these wipes. Diapers.com has them. Target sells them but they're expensive. I think they are worth the money for the first couple months when baby's skin is sensitive."
"I haven't actually tried this but I came across it while searching for the cardboard files I use for my girls. The best advice I got from another mom was not to use clippers-- why risk cutting the baby's skin? I buy the pack of small, cardboard travel files from the drug store and they work great."
"Don't know what I would have done without this. Normal aspirators go up into the nose, this one rests on the edge of the nostril so there's no fear of hurting your squirming baby. No need to purchase extra filters, kit comes with plenty. My pediatrician said only resort to aspirators when the baby really needs help breathing, otherwise you risk scarring the inside of their nose."
"I can't say enough about this tub. Target also sells it. The Water runs clean while you bathe your baby and runs over a gauge which monitors the temp. I don't think you necessarily need a fancy tub but I loved the constant flow of clean water and knowing what the temp was during the bath."
"Target sells something similar and better shaped. The idea behind this foam cushion is: You set it on the counter next to the infant tub and lay the baby's towel over it. After you're done bathing your baby you scoop her up and place her on the towel and wrap her up. It's a safe place to set her down while you wrap her to carry her into the bedroom for her diaper and PJs."
"This is the purest, safest and most gentle baby wash on the market. I did tons of research. There are no chemicals, no synthetic perfumes and no ingredients that have been proven harmful (unlike Johnson & Johnson!) I've been using it now for over 2 years."
"Set this in front of your tub and it will save your knees and your back. It seems like a splurge but it's actually a necessity. When they are big enough to bathe in the tub you will spend a lot of time hunched over and your knees will take a beating. This is cushioned, not hard plastic."
"I have a few of these- lighter for the fall and heavier for winter. I never bought the ones with sleeves, though I wish I had. Just put a short-sleeve onsie on underneath this. SIDS research says babies should be kept cool while sleeping. (No caps during sleep.)"
"These are super soft. Snapping on the side is better that having to pull anything over a tiny baby's wobbly head. I also like the short sleeve option for spring and summer. For sleep, I put the baby in a long sleeve side-snap with a diaper and then use the fleece sleep sack listed above."
"I like that this is soft, just in case it falls off. Though I've had it up for almost a year and it's never slipped. I like being able to see her, and check on her. Plus, she loves looking at herself."
"This sling came highly recommended- so glad I bought it. Very comfortable and my babies are heavy, both in the 90th percentile for weight. The Baby Bjorn hurt my shoulders. Note: this sling is for use after your baby can hold her/his head up."
"I'm not a fan of too much TV for babies but these shows are so beautifully produced, with no talking, just gorgeous classical music. Very artistic and captivating. Much better than Baby Einstein. My 3-year-old STILL loves these."
"When I was pregnant with my first many of the veteran moms I spoke with complained that their Boppys were too small and awkward. I was reluctant because of the price but I'm so glad I bought it. It's lasted through two babies-- its' just as soft as it was when I first bought it. It's like a big comfy pillow."
"Both my babies took almost every nap in this swing. I find the swing settings to be fast, so I only ever used the lowest setting and even then I sometimes draped a light blanket across the bottom so that it would drag on the floor and slow the swing even more. Worth every penny."
"Do you need a bouncy plus a swing? I had both and couldn't imagine being without either. The main difference is that you can move the bouncer throughout the house, even into the back or front yard. It's how I managed to shower, wash dishes, etc. Plus, babies LOVE bouncing! It doesn't have to be fancy, sometimes less in front is better so the baby can see you."
"This little camcorder is amazing. You plug it directly into your computer and can instantly e-mail video clips of your baby. No tapes required! It's very user friendly. The manual is only one page long-- that's how easy it is. Works on Mac and PC."
