Voyeuristic reality TV at its sexiest,
By A Customer
This review is from: Best of the Bachelor [VHS] (VHS Tape)
One complaint that I had with "Best Of Survivor Season One" was that it was a truncated, piece-meal version of the original series that cut out some of the most memorable scenes of the show, like Sue's infamous 'snake-eat-rat' tribal council speech. "Best of The Bachelor" showcases the series in its entirety as it was broadcasted (though somewhat edited for time) and features some never-before-seen bonus interview footage at the end of the tape. Even if you have never seen the show, the video will take you right from the tumultuous beginning all the way up to the climactic ending, no pun intended :) For fans of the show and other reality date-o-holics, this video is sure to please your palate.

The season that started it all!! The season that brought us the exquisite Trista Rehn!!! This DVD has got it all including extra features showing extended interviews, dates and commentary. Each show is edited into a tidy 20 minutes (approx.) so you get the richness of the show without the tiresome, heart-pounding pauses.
What I can't understand is why the other seasons haven't been released in this format, especially Trista's Bachelorette season! Her wedding was viewed by millions and to date, her relationship constructed on the show is the only one that has resulted in such a union. Chant with me everyone: "WE WANT MORE!! WE WANT MORE!! WE WANT MORE!!"

This is a very well presented DVD. What you get are mini-versions of the episodes from Season 1 of the reality show THE BACHELOR.
Added bonuses included previously unseen material This is good stuff. What you get to see are the things you want to see. More of the romance, more of the drama, more of the potential sex, more of the fun. There's also more of Amanda- a definite good thing in my book. If you're a fan of the show I recommend this DVD, and if you're not, you may find yourself fascinated by the exploits and becoming a fan yourself.

"The Best of the Bachelor" was really good although it is Season One ONLY!! Where is the rest of the series? I would purchase Aaron, Andrew & Bryon's season on DVD (with outtakes). Also, where is the Bachelorette? My ALL TIME favorite is Trista & Ryan with Meredith & Ian coming in second. Mike Fleiss, are you listening??

I enjoyed the DVD of "The Bachelor, Season 1," it was a complete hoot, and my daughter and I both thought it was a comedic delight. What a send-up of American dating rituals! Thanks for that. And the DVD was in fine condition too, because God knows we wouldn't have wanted to miss a moment of the comedy, which many times bordered on farce. A brilliant satire on the American habit of putting a price tag on everything, including moonlight!

It was really good when I saw it in America five years ago so I am sure the DVD will be good too.

I loved it, this is one I hadn't seen yet, and haven't missed the rest, I agree I wish they would release the other Bachelor series, here in Australia we are only up to Byron almost the end 3 ladies to go.
I felt the DVD went really quick I had wish they included more extended version Good buy though

...until Fleiss and company release a DVD of The Bachelorette II, that featured Meredith Phillips. Her romance with Ian was the most beautiful, satisfying, and real romances of any in this series. Unfortunately, the editing of Meredith's series did it's best to lead one to believe that she'd pick (snore) Matthew. Mr. Fleiss, we want an unedited version of M&I's romance! With lots of out-takes! Then I'll be happy to give you 5 stars!
