Mr. Hartford is clearly a great photographer. He seems to wreak his Highest quality Magic in scenes of Nature.

For People pictures, you could find Far, far better sources.

But I am a life-long lover of Nature {people are OK too ;) and :) }, and a naturalist. This Artist is painting scenes of Great Beauty with his Camera, using it like a magical wand. I wish I could better understand the photographic techniques he uses to give his scenes such incredible Depth, so they seem to become Realer than most photographs, yet in some respects they are not real at all. For they are true works of ART.

I have lived long, I have lived Happy, I have seen and Shared much Beauty and have also been blessed to spend some of my life in Maine, Appreciating both Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island. There is much natural beauty there to Share, for those of us who find great joy in Sharing. I suspect this photographer is one of us. He is most fortunate that he has found so much beauty to share, a unique photographic Style with which to share it, and So many People with which to share it. I am but a humble iPhone man, sharing my little pictures with only a few in the DC Metro area. I am not magical with it at all. But even My little role within the Interdependent Web gives me great pleasure. Lucky man, that Hartford.

It seems the man has also created some totally Different magic for people. Quite a Resource there, for all Kinds of people, but Especially for Lovers! Lovers of such diverse things as Kids, Lobsters, Horror Stories, Hiking, Bicycling, Lighthouses, and much, much more. Enjoy! The man has Shared a lot With a lot. Lucky Man! I only Hope he makes a decent living at it, for he deserves to.

In case you hadn't guessed, Hartford's Book meant a Lot to me. It always will. Mr. Hartford is clearly a great photographer. Are there More books coming, Mr. Hartford? I wish there were more photos of downtown Bar Harbor, the Jordan Pond House with its popovers and jam, local restaurants, Rockefeller teeth carriage roads, and the whale watching boats. That said, this book has lovely photographs and is a nice representation of a special place. It makes a great gift for those lucky enough to have visited Bar Harbor.
