Timeless music,
This review is from: Best Of The Bellamy Brothers, The (Audio CD)
When this old world is gone and the archeologists are digging around the'll find this CD has survived 4,000 years. Really these are the cream of this music-what do you call this music? Funky Country, classical country. It's timeless and will last, last ,last, last. I love it!

This review is from: Best Of The Bellamy Brothers, The (Audio CD)
The Bellamy Brothers are real-life brothers,Howard(b.1946)and David (b.1950).As youngsters in their hometown of Darby,Florida, Howard took up the guitar as did younger brother David. They soon discovered their talent for composing songs, a talent that paid off early as David composed the song 'Spiders & Snakes' a big hit for Jim Stafford in 1974.The next year the duo signed to Warner Brothers records and in 1976 they reached the top of the US charts and a top 10 UK hit with 'Let Your Love Flow'.The next big record 'If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body' became their biggest UK hit at number 3 and topped the US country charts. It began a 10 year spell when they were rarely out of the upper regions of this chart. This cd highlights some of those no.1 country singles including 'Dancin'Cowboys','Old Hippie','If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body'and 'Kids Of The Baby Boom',as well as signature song 'Let Your Love Flow'and third uk hit 'Satin Sheets'. The duo have gone on to record over 25 albums. This cd is an excellent introduction to the Bellamy Brothers, buy it and you will not be disappointed.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Very Best of (Audio CD)
For some odd reason, country musicians have this reprehensible tendency to re-record their hits and then pander them off to the public without letting their fans know what they've just purchased. John Anderson did this a few years back with his two-disc "Anthology," and the Bellamy Brothers have done that here. If you like the old songs from the 1970s and 1980s, you will absolutely feel cheated out of your hard-earned money. For this particular offense, they've sprayed synthesizers all over their classic work, which essentially makes this CD nothing less than an expensive drink coaster.
