The "Best of Benassi Brothers" album begins with a track titled "Illusion (Sfaction Mix)." It begins with a fast solo driving drum beat and an electronic whirring that slips in and out of the focus of the song. Then another layer makes it appearance as a secondary sort of drum beat as a cymbal crash enters, followed shortly by a maraca-like percussive beat. The music all fades out as a synthesized computer blipping rushes to the foreground of the song to introduce a female vocalist. Soon after however, the song returns with a synthesized orchestral sounding flitting above the rest of the sounds. The vocalist enters for brief sections as Benassi Brothers vary her voice and repeating certain phrases of her such as "believe it" above the hard driving bass-line with the rest of the song. By the end, the instruments are all faded out as the song ends on just two of the sounds: the driving bass-line and the synthesized computer-whirring.In "Memory of Love (Original Version)," the Benassi Brothers begin with an early computer music -like repetitive line of a lighter, tinnier drum sound than from the first track, followed by a synthesized video game-like rhythm. Then a dark, heavy background beat enters before a vocally-edited male vocalist's voice is layered over the track. At moments, the Benassi Brothers allow the synthesized video game-like beat to solo before returning to the dark feel of the rest of the song. At other moments, the vocally-edited male vocalist solos over just an ambient lull in the track, his voice echoing and strongly reminiscent of a computer-generated voice like that of Max Mathew's first fully-computer made voice piece. Next on the album is "Make Me Feel (Original Version" which begins with the same driving drum beat as the initial track of the album, along with the orchestral-sounding synthesized beat from before. However, this track includes a crashing cymbal that strongly punctuates the track and builds in its echo to force the track along to a much faster synthesized driving beat as the crashing cymbal takes a backseat. Then a same computer like blipping returns as from the first track but with a new female vocalist who soars over the entire track as her voice echoes. The sounds become suspended for an ambient texture, save the synthesized computer like blipping. The track hurries onward as both the vocalist and the synthesized sounds rise together before the Benassi Brothers allow for a guitar-like interlude to solo above a subdued vocalist and synthesizers, like a breath of fresh air. However, the moment is brief as the track return to the pairing of the vocalist and the driving dance beats of this track to fade to just the crashing clapping sound and the thumping drum beat. Skipping over "Don't Touch Too Much (Original Version)," which consists of similar sounds as the first few tracks, "Feel Alive (Original Extended)" takes on a much different tone. While it begins with the same driving drum beat and quick cymbal beats, a much softer and more ambient synthesized melodic line floats in the background to create an ambient and beach-like flavor. This line takes center stage with a lovely female vocalist and a guitar strumming to create the sensation of being at the beach club, as opposed to the prior tracks which remind the listener of being in a basement dance club pulsing with hard house music. In fact, this track leans more towards a typical trance song with a soaring, echoey female vocalist and relaxed synthesized drum-like beats along with the joyous melodic line and guitar strumming. The track ends with an ambient fade out and just the driving drum beat. For a return to the "Turn Me Up (Sfaction Mix)" which begins with a very dark and sexy yet subdued electronic blipping sound to serve as the melodic line along with a synthesized heart-beating and a few occasional cymbal accents. It builds the electronic blipping and becomes less subdued before the female vocalist enters and the melodic line softens again. By the end of the vocalist's section, a word of hers, "out" is repeated and edited to blur away in the background as the melodic line takes over with a scratch-like percussive synthesized track. The track has a dirty and cool feel all at once. Overall, the album is an excellent blend of melodic vocalists, accented percussive rhythms, and synthesized house music beats that effectively encourage the listener to get up and get moving. The beats are fast, sexy, and very enjoyable.

If your a true fan of Techno/Electronica you gotta have this in your mix. This cd features the best songs of Benassi Bros. They have a great style that will have you wanting more. My favorite jams on this cd would have to be Illusions, Make Me Feel, Don't Touch Too Much, I Feel So Fine, Every Single Day, Turn Me Up, Hit My Heart, Castaway [Original Version], and I Love My Sex. This cd is one that you listen to all the tracks over and over.
