Ever since I ran out of Benefiber and refused to pay the outrageous prices being asked for it since the plant closed, I've been trying to find something that works as well (mixes up without lumps and is tasteless). This product is about 75% there. It takes about twice as much mixing as Benefiber and mostly doesn't have lumps. Good product & works good but no Benefiber.

Many other "dextrin" products are corn dextrin, which simply DOES NOT WORK like wheat dextrin. (You can tell if the package says only "dextrin" rather than "wheat dextrin," and because the corn-dextrin powder isn't as fine.) This stuff is exactly like Benefiber, and my digestion is back on track.

FYI: This is the same product sold at Kroger under their store brand, in case you live where there are Kroger supermarkets.

I have found that this product is not nearly as easy to dissolve as Benefiber. I have given up trying to get it to dissolve in cold water. I have begun using warm water and that works much better.

This is the best replacement I've found so far for the Benefiber which is no longer available. I still takes a bit more time to dissolve, but at least there's nothing in the bottom of the glass when I'm done.

I got this due to the price and being advertised as easy to dissolve in liquid which it was. About the same as Equate.

This is a taste-free, easily soluble dietary fiber that dissolves completely and doesn't thicken up like other fiber products. It fully satisfies my doctor's recommendation.

Clumps a bit, eventually mixes in. Otherwise, seems to be as effective as Benefiber. Have purchased more after my initial test and will continue until Benefiber comes back on the market.
