Missing Essential Tracks,

This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
There's a reason this cd costs less than $7. The most glaring omissions are "You Should Be High Love", "Lonely is the Night" & "Learn How to Live". Oh well, you get what you pay for. If you want the real "best of" compilation, get the REACH FOR THE SKY anthology.

It's Squier!! But this isn't the most complete CD.,

There is no doubting that this CD is enjoyable, and for the non-obsessed Squier fan, this may be enough. But, if you've ever seen Billy live, or if you have two or more of his other releases, this just isn't enough Billy! The "Reach For The Sky" 2-disc anthology isn't nearly enough for the true Squier fan, but his talented songwriting/playing/singing are well represented on this short compilation. Besides, the true Squier fan has to own ALL of his releases, even if the songs are all duplicates of other GH packages.

What's up with THIS?,

How can you possibly have a Billy Squier Greatest Hits album and NOT include Lonely is the Night? Who produced this record? Did they ever listen to Billy Squier? I refuse to buy this "greatest hits" album because of such an idiotic omission.

the best compilation would be from earlier works (eg 'Piper' or 'Tales From....') and then albums after 1989's Hear and Now. It's a good collection to keep in the CD changer of your car - excellent driving music!!!

Lonely is the Night?,

Squier rules, but how can you have a greatest hits without Lonely is the Night on it? That tune rules so much, other artists should have it on their greatest hits CDs!

He was never a respected artist but, in hindsight, he was a very gifted songwriter. 20 years later, his songs still sound good and not antiquated. I think Billy Squire was an overlooked artist that never got his due. He would be a great act on the oldies circuit

Where are the other songs?,

Billy Squier electrifies on Tell the Truth and touches us on Tale of the Tape. Where is Angry, You Should Be High Love, Rythm, and The Music's Alright. I want to see a complete set. Even the Anthology gives songs from these albums.
