This is a good CD if you don't mind re-recordings. I wished I would have known that when I purchased this CD (as well as Best of Bobby Goldsboro, Vol. 2). It's not bad, just not what I remember on AM radio. I recommend "Absolutely The Best" for Bobby's ORIGINAL RECORDINGS.

I bought this CD for one song only, Watching Scotty Grow. I'd heard it on the radio and my husband has a son named Scott and...too long a story...we sat and listened to the whole CD. Of course you need a box of tissues because many of the songs are real tear jerkers and I guess those less romantic types would find them corny but the man has such rich, velvety tones and you can't deny that he can sing. It was a Sunday morning well spent going back down memory lane. There were the classics, Honey, Little Things and Summer The First Time (did anyone ever see the movie inspired by this song?) and you can't help but sing along and remember days gone by but the last song Broomstick Cowboy was a surprise to me as I'd never heard it before, it touched me deeply as I thought of the sons who have had to kill or be killed in Vietnam, Iraq etc. A very strong argument for peace. If you ever liked at least one of his songs you'll enjoy the CD.

An excellent selection of his best songs. Really good value for money. Would recomend to any of his fans.
