Biography

Bobby Womack first came to prominence in the in the 1950s as part of The Womack Brothers, a gospel group that was comprised of siblings Cecil, Harry, Curtis and Friendly. Impressed with the group, Sam Cooke encouraged them to come to Los Angeles where he signed them to his SAR label. i'm a huge fan of Bobby Womack and he made the kind of songs where you could relate and understand where he was coming from regardless if you wanted to or not. soulful vocals, songwriting and a trademark guitar picking. the Brother is bad and never has gotten his full due as a all around musical artist. he is very versatile. he always brings it soulful. this set is the fire.
