Buy this book for the cover...and then prepared to get blown away by the stories inside. The anthology is just so sexy I can't even say. Cara Bruce's story "The Perfect O" is mind-blowing. M. Christian's "Moving" is about the power of the spoken word. Helena Settimana's "Six Persimmons" may be one of the most beautiful erotic stories I've ever read. But my favorite was "Selling Point" about a realtor and a prospective house-buyer who discover a secret bondage room in the basement of a house. It's totally hot and I'll read it over and over again. If you like bondage, buy this book. If you like sex buy this book. If you like hot covers, buy this book!

Because the cover is the best thing about it. The contents of this book are very "soft" (for lack of a more appropriate word) and I would not recommend this collection to anyone who is experienced at all in bondage. I am female, and not quite into the s/m side of things, but this even bored me. I suppose if you are a man looking for a way to ease your wife/girlfriend/lover into the idea of bondage this book just might help to spark an interest without scaring her. Otherwise, those already experienced in the practice of bondage even a little bit should keep looking, because this is a waste of money.

I found some of the stories to be good, some not. I felt like many other reviewers that the stories were soft for what they are supposed to be about. I have found some of the other erotica books that I have read to be not so hot either. Maybe my idea of hot/erotic is not what is floating the boat for these publishers.
I would like to see some meatier stories in these books, I hope it isn't fear of reprisal that keeps them from going for the gusto. As the buyer I think we know what we are getting into and if it's too hot for a minority of readers, what's better, 3 negative reviews versus a slew of "satisfied" customers?

Ummm....I hate to be a cynic....but these stories were so soft I could have read them to a kintergarten class for nap time. The author openly admits that she pulled some of the stories from the net! I was throughly disappointed in what the potential book could have actually been. It was also advertised so heavily as a breakthrough for the easily embarrased that she blew the moment...and just may have left that niche gunshy of purchasing anything else. Damn shame my friends....damn shame.

Best Bondage Erotica is a sexy compilation of some of the hottest bondage stories published around 2003 and edited by Alison Tyler. All of the stories are extremely well-written and arousing - this is the high-quality stuff you have to search hours for on erotica sites. The book includes quite a few threesome stories as well as some use of knives to cut off clothing. It's 200 pages long and includes 21 different stories, so they are all short but completely erotic. All of the stories include erotic restraint, but some of the stories include Dominance and submission play as well as impact play. The stories have some really hot plot lines as well.

For example, in one of them, a girl finds out the couple living with her is kinky, so when they leave the house, she raids their bondage gear to masturbate with while they're gone. Turns out they come home early, and she's lost the key.

In another, a Dominant partner approaches a submissive girl and asks her what she's into. The sub says she can only orgasm with her legs spread apart. The Dominant sets her mind to changing that while a crowd starts to gather in this public BDSM club.

All of the stories are well-written and erotic. While I did prefer Best Bondage Erotica 2 (also available here), this one still had a lot of hot, sexy stories that will certainly be enjoyable to revisit again and again.

(Contrary to other reviewers opinions, this book doesn't claim to be hardcore. No, you won't find people being beat and screaming. These are mostly stories of average couples adding some kink to their sex lives, and it's hot. It only claims to have bondage, and it lives up to that claim.)

If this the best of Bondage Erotica, I'd hate to read the worst of it. The book is packed with a bunch of short stories. A couple of stories where okay but every other story kept leading me to want more. They are at best I would consider "soft-core" bondage. I guess I was hoping for more intensity.

This book is not worth the paper it is written on. I have read free stories online that are better than this. Also, whoever selected these stories for the anthology does not know the culture. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND READ BETTER STORIES ONLINE. LitErotica is a great place to start or search Yahoo.

Of the 21 stories in this collection, there are three that I found to be the best, standing far above the others. There are the stories by M. Christian, Felix D'Angelo, and Thomas S. Roche -- if you've read bdsm erotica before these names may be familiar to you. The other 18 cover many subjects and kinks but they leave out one huge population: gay men. None of the stories could be called gay while there area certainly lesbian, het, thressomes, and solo adventures. This was very disappointing for a book of the "Best".

Good stories, well written and quite varied. Some harder than others but all quite erotic. Enjoy it alone or with friends.

A few good pieces, the rest just ordinary. The cover art is by far the hottest thing in the book.
