This review is from: The Best Book of Volcanoes (Paperback)
I didn't want to scare my grandson with the human tragedies caused by the volcanoes he has become fascinated with, especially since we live near several. This book fills the bill. The science is the focus. Lots of illustrations and fairly easy reading. I am happy with the high level of education. It brings up lots of questions. As for the people, it just lets us know that some people didn't make it. Reality, but in the background.
