great book,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Best Broadway Songs Ever (The Best Ever Series) (Paperback)
ive had this book for several years and have enjoyed playing and singing many of its wide range of songs. It includes songs such as Memory from "Cats", I dreamed a dream from "Les Miserables" and much more. unfortunately, my one complaint is that two of my favorite musicals, Miss. Saigon and West Side Story, have been overlooked. other than that...it was very enjoyable!

Fair collection,

This review is from: The Best Broadway Songs Ever (The Best Ever Series) (Paperback)
This was a good collection of songs, but I would recommend the Big Book of Broadway over this book. The selections in that book are better. The songs are challenging to play, as well.

A Great Book for Auditions,
By Sara G Steelman (Pennsylvania, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Best Broadway Songs Ever (The Best Ever Series) (Paperback)
I am very happy with this book. The wide selection of old favorites makes it easy to find something for almost anyone in it. I was happy to find songs which I had not found anywhere else such as "Love Changes Everything" from Aspects of Love and "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel. The music is easy to read and works for many skill levels.

broadway,
This review is from: The Best Broadway Songs Ever (The Best Ever Series) (Paperback)
As a vocal performer on broadway i find this book absolutely appauling. The notes are so distorted that it is basically a different song entirely than the composer intended. I have worked broadway since 1986 { untill i went to work for disney in 1989} and i must say this book is insulting to the musicals that they are loosely based upon. Please do not be offended as this is MY opinion of this music book and others may feel differently
sincerly, Jodi Benson

Broadway Music Anthology,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Best Broadway Songs Ever (The Best Ever Series) (Paperback)
This anthology contains a ton of my favorite Broadway tunes and is a great value. I recommend it to Broadway buffs. It's a little over an inch thick, and I plan to use it for voice lessons.

Bought the first copy for our teenage daughter (a singer). The next copy was for her grandmother (a pianist). Both have found it an excellent single source to a broad range of material.

Good collection of musical theatre standards.,

This review is from: The Best Broadway Songs Ever (The Best Ever Series) (Paperback)
This is a good book to start your collection with, or if you can only bring one book to your gig. The music is very easy to read and the accompaniment parts are easy for run-throughs.
