Buffy Ste.Marie has been enchanting me and many others for more than 30 years. She can be a firebrand in protest songs like "Universal Soldier" and "It's My Way", but segue into soft and sensual in "T'es Pas Un Autre". Her inclusion of American Indian (Cree)instruments and other American folk songs and instruments marks her as the UNIQUE original "spinner of songs" that she truly is. The "kids" of today (1999) could learn QUITE a few things from listening to what Buffy can do and DOES with that sinuous instrument, her voice. May you be singing for your grandchildren and for my grandchildren, and until your long raven hair is white, as the "Medicine Man" might be in the community of Crees from long ago. Buffy is just TOO much, in every great sense of the word.

She has a magical and unique voice, I have enjoyed her singing for 35 years. She won't disappoint you. I highly recommend this album.

The rest of her Vanguard hits continue on this second edition. I intend on buying her entire discography in the near future. Enjoy!!! The individual albums from which these songs come from are much better.

Buffy has a very distinctive style. Her rendition of "Lyke Wake Dirge" is very haunting and creepy!

Buffy has been around since the early 70's (if not earlier) this is one of her better albums. I have listened to and enjoyed her for many years. Not quite as obscure as you may think, Buffy has a unique native-american style which comes through on this album. I recommend it!!!!
