About the Author

Rex Peteet has won numerous regional and national design awards including the New York Art Directors Show, the Los Angeles Art Directors Show, AR100 and has had several works selected for the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. He has been widely published and featured in many industry magazines and annuals including Communication Arts, Print, AIGA, Graphis, Step and HOW. In 2005, Rex was the recipient of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications' highest honor and lifetime achievement award, The Golden Egg. Rex Peteet is also a founding Director of the first Texas chapter of AIGA and currently sits on the Advisory Board of AIGA Austin.

Rex Peteet is founding partner/principal designer of Sibley/Peteet, in Austin, Texas. The firm specializes in corporate communications and comprehensive design strategies.

While most of the cards come from image-conscious industries like design and fashion, not all, and I'd love to see even more diversity in future books. Despite its really ugly cover, this book contains a large selection of beautiful and clever business cards from many different disciplines.
