About the Author

Stephanie Bolster is an award-winning poet. Her collection White Stone: The Alice Poems, won the Governor General’s Award and the Gerald Lampert Award. She has also published Two Bowls of Milk, which won the Archibald Lampman Award and was shortlisted for the Trillium Book Award. Her work has appeared in literary journals internationally and has also garnered her the Bronwen Wallace Award, the Norma Epstein Award, and The Malahat Review’s Long Poem Prize. She is also teaches creative writing at Concordia University. She lives in Montreal, Quebec. Molly Peacock is the author of six volumes of poetry, including The Second Blush and Cornucopia. She is a contributing editor of the Literary Review of Canada and a faculty mentor at Spalding University. Her writing has appeared in such publications as the Globe and Mail, the New Yorker, and the Paris Review. Her nonfiction book The Paper Garden was nominated for the BC National Award for Canadian Non-Fiction. She lives in Toronto, Ontario.

I'm very pleased Stephanie Bolster has started a "Best of Year" poetry series for Canada. As an American, I'm less familiar with Canadian poets, and this volume reveals some of them are incredibly talented.
