Truly a symbol of Gospel's Golden Age, this cd has enough raw emotion and spirit for even the most diehard gospel fan! Shirley Ceasar shines on "Choose Ye This Day", Inez Andrews brings down the house on "I'm Not Tired Yet" and "He Won't Deny Me", Josephine Howard lets the congregation have it on "What Will Tomorrow Bring" and Cassietta George shakes your soul on "Remember Me". Thank you Albertina for getting these girls together! They were stars then and are stars now! Praise God!

No matter what your background might be.....spiritual or no...if you are a true music fan, you will not be able to deny this. This music is the birth of rock and roll. It is a ritual that you will undoubtingly be caught up in. Like walking in from the street into any Baptist Church in America, you can't help but feel the spirit....and this collection is truly one of the best examples of the raw intensity of old time gospel music. Thank your Supreme Being for Sister Inez Andrews on 'I'm Not Yet', and Shirley Caesar on 'Choose Ye This Day'. This is some of the stuff that Mick and Keith were listening to way back when, believe it.....

This C.d.I used to own on vinyl and it disappeared, probably loaned out to someone who didn't return it. It was a trip down memory lane to hear it again. I love the old school Gospel music, strong vocals sung with conviction and a strong undiluted message in the words of the songs. This is a great C.D made by some great people e.g. Shirley Caesar and Albertina Walker. Thought it very timely that I purchased it just before Albertina Walker's passing away. This lady is still blessing people from the grave with her music, wonderful!!

I love the Caravans, as a group,and the divas that make up this ensemble continue to be the greatest voices in traditional gospel. This is an essential CD for anyone who is historically linked to gospel music.
