I AM A PROUD FAN OF THE CARDIGANS AND CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE ONE OF THEIR BIGGEST FANS. THAT BEING SAID, THIS "BEST OF" 2 DISC EDITION IS ANY CARDIGANS FANS TREASURE CHEST. DISC 1 IS ALL OF THEIR HITS, AND DISC 2 IS A VERY FULLFILLING COLLECTION OF B-SIDES AND RARITIES. I OWN "ALOT" OF SINGLES ETC, WITH A GOOD BIT OF THESE ALREADY ON THERE AND UNTIL THIS RELEASE CAME OUT, YOU HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO HUNT THEM ALL DOWN INDIVIDUALLY. NOW, IT'S ALL IN ONE DISC AND I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH ON HOW MANY SONGS ON HERE ARE "SINGLE WORTHY". ALOT OF THESE ARE MY FAVORITE CARDIAGNS SONGS, (I HAVE ALL OF THEIR ALBUMS) AND THE KEY TRACKS THAT SUPPORT MY CLAIM ARE: "SLOWDOWN TOWN", "GIVE ME YOUR EYES", "IF YOU WERE LESS LIKE ME", "FOR THE BOYS", "IF THERE IS A CHANCE", "HOLD ME", "THE ROAD", "SLOW", "COUNTRY HELL" & "WAR", AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE CARDIGANS ARE TAKING A BREAK SO NO NEW ALBUM ANY TIME SOON, HOWEVER YOU'D THINK A "BEST OF" PACKAGE WOULD NOT CONTAIN ANY NEW MATERIAL. THIS ONE HAS OVER AN ALBUMS WORTH OF EXCELLENT TUNES THAT MANY CARDIGANS FANS HAVE NOT HEARD YET. THIS 2 CD SET IS A NO-BRAINER, BUY IT! ANY CARDIGANS FAN OR FANS OF EXCELLENT MUSIC FOR THAT MATTER, SHOULD HAVE THIS IN THEIR COLLECTION!

This is a tour-de-force "Best of" collection. I wish all artists put out (essentially recycled) product in such a quality package. Only the most casual Cardigans fan should consider the one CD version if price is a consideration.

If you have all the other Cardigans' CDs and still want more, this is it. The B-sides, unreleased songs, and "First Try" alternate versions is more one or two new CDs worth of joy and happiness. This is especially true if you are hankering to re-live the sound of the early Emmerdale and Life period.

If this is your only Cardigans' album, and you become a true addict, then go ahead and buy the other CDs. As a last purchase, you might consider the rare Other Side of the Moon, somewhat pricey, but it has three tracks not on this "Best of".

Long live the Cardigans!

IT has some b sides, but b sides are not greatest hits. They missed Iron man and sabbath bloody sabbath. 44 songs can't be their best i recomend to buy the albums individually instead.
