5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT, July 31, 2001
This review is from: Best of the Carpenters (Audio CD)
Richard Clayderman's CD of Capenters music is wonderful. It is a very well produced collection. The treatment he gives to these Carpenters classics is exceptional. Each song gets special attention and is unique in it's own way. I was quite surprised by the quality and obvious great attention that went into this recording. Richard's work at the piano and orchestral backing is fantastic. The mellow ballads are heavenly and on the uptempo tracks he really rocks. "A Kind of Hush" is especially affecting. "Yesterday Once More" is another standout. It gets the best instrumental treatment I've ever heard. A great tribute to Richard and Karen Carpenter. Well done, Mr. Clayderman.
