I have to use the pause button quite a bit `cause it has some foxy ladies running around quite nekkid, huge boobage- me likes! The extras are ok, you can hear the entire song that is played at the beginning of the show. There's also some pointers you can use to catch someone who might be cheating on you - nothing fancy. I have been burned by more expensive DVDs that don't deliver, this one packs a punch and a peep! Go for it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Like the show? Enjoy the DVD, August 20, 2002

Identical in format to the famous trash-TV show except the language isn't bleeped out and there is some nice wholesome, gratutious, rated-R nudity in some of the undercover footage. And at least the philanders they show are near-model quality (both guys and girls). The DVD is a bit shorter than one might expect, but it's a good have-the-guys-over-for-beers disc. A good accompaniment to this would be the Tao of Steve.

5.0 out of 5 stars CLASSIC VIEWING, November 5, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Best of Cheaters: Season 1 (DVD)
Tommy Habeeb (aka Tommy Grand) is possibly one of the best hosts in the history of mankind. Tommy effortlessly hunts down and confronts cheaters about their incesuous ways. This DVD showcases the best of the season of Cheaters that I watch religiously. In fact, I have a small (actually very large) shrine dedicated to my hero Tommy. When you buy this DVD (you WILL buy this dvd), your life will change for ever (for the better).

I have a confession: This summer, I had a brief, torrid affair with "Cheaters." Somehow I have never seen this 10-year-old syndicated mainstay before. I stumbled onto "Cheaters" during one of its weekend marathons on G4 and couldn't stop watching. For weeks. The 100% mock-sympathetic smarm of Joey Grecco, the shame-faced busted guys, the irate busted girls (the busted guys usually looked guilty, the caught girls usually got mad -- it's your fault I did this). It seemed like the logical conclusion to what reality TV is -- what gotcha moment can be more riveting than somebody literally being caught with their pants down?

I was pretty sure at least some of it was staged. One Texas apartment complex seemed to be used over and over again. Some of the reactions felt off. And the whole twisted endeavor seemed just too entertaining to be true. Didn't care.

Now here comes "Inside Edition" finding two cases where "Cheaters," well, cheated. A couple says they were paid to pretend to cheat. And the show's most famous clip, where Grecco was supposedly stabbed, was said to be staged. Here's excepts from tonight's transcript:

Wyatt says, "They asked us to sit next to the windows, ham it up alittle bit, be flirty and touchy, to kiss a couple of times, but wenever did, we just faked it."

Carl Burmeister says he was paidto play Wyatt's lover and that the entire episode was shot at the homeof one of the show's producers. The program also claimed that thecheaters were under surveillance for three weeks, but Burmeister saysthat in reality it was all shot in just two days.

Wyatt, although under the legal drinking age at the time of the taping, toldINSIDE EDITION she was given alcohol in an attempt to loosen her up forthe romantic scenes.

...

But the best-known episode of Cheaters, the episode that put the show on the TV map, is the episode where hostJoey Greco gets stabbed by an irate man caught cheating.

"So none of it was true?

"No," says Cassandra Terrazas, a Dallashotel receptionist who says she was paid $350 for a few days workplaying a woman who is caught having an affair with the man.

Shewas told the confrontation would take place on a lake located nearDallas. "It was all set up," she says. "They just rented a boat for usand we were supposed to be out like we were fishing and I was supposedto be sunbathing, and then they were going to come up on another boatand catch us."

...

The young man was immediately restrained, and Greco, blood gushing fromhis wound, was rushed back to shore where paramedics fought to save hislife.

A police car sped away, and the viewer is led to believethe knife-wielding cheater has been arrested and taken to the RowlettPolice Station.

But according to the police in Rowlett, Texas, that never happened. "There were no arrests at all during that timeperiod for that type of crime," says John Ellison of the Rowlett PoliceDepartment.

According to Cassandra Terrazas the ambulance wasrented, the blood was fake, and everything was scripted right down tothe person who fell off the boat.

But when Meagher told Executive Producer Bobby Goldstein what our investigation found, he still insisted it was all real.

Meagher: "The whole thing was faked, wasn't it?"

Goldstein: "No".

Meagher: "We have two people, on the record, directly involved in the scenario, who have told us everything was faked."

Goldstein:"That's a surprise to me, and that is the first I've ever heard that.It was represented to me that this incident actually occurred."

Meagher: "You represent in that episode that the young man was arrested and taken away by the Rowlett Police Department."

Goldstein: "I think so."

Meagher: "It never happened."

Goldstein: "I don't know that to be so."

Meagher: "Did you visit him in the hospital?"

Goldstein: "I think I did."

Meagher: "What hospital did he go to?"

Goldstein: "Matt, I don't remember all this. But I can't agree with you that it didn't happen."

Meagher: "If the host of my television show was stabbed and I visited him in the hospital, I would remember."

Goldstein:"Listen, I visited Joey. My recollection is that he was very pale, veryfrail, very scared, but he was very courageous. But let me say this, ifit was all poppycock, it sure did great in the

4.0 out of 5 stars Caught on Tape Anyone?, August 7, 2002
This review is from: Best of Cheaters: Season 1 (DVD)
Like a mixture of Jerry Springer and Candid Camera - Cheaters made me happy to own a television when it premiered in 2000. A classic show that chronicles what must be the wort moment of someone's life. If you like watching people put in uncomfortable situations like being busted cheating on a spouse - and you think that watching someone having to watch a tape of their boyfriend having sex with another girl - then this is the tape for you. However, many people I know just find the show and the whole idea behind it distasteful. While I'm a fan of the show, I think that this DVD may go a bit too far, it becomes pornographic at some points and even slightly disturbing. But if you really enjoy reveling in the pain of others, then this DVD is guaranteed to please.

As the title says I was just thinking about asking them to release an uncensored version of Cheaters. I get a real kick out of the show every week and think its one of the funniest shows on tv. I know, the people that are being cheated on won't feel the same way. But there's just something that gives me a little chuckle when I see the look on someone's face that has been busted. Now I get to see the parts that are normally blured out so I can get the complete picture. I hope they keep coming. I know there are some episodes that I really want to see uncensored.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dissappointing, September 25, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Best of Cheaters: Season 1 (DVD)
I thoroughly enjoy the weekly series in an ashamed, Jerry Springer kind of way. When I heard about this release I couldn't wait to see an episode without all the video and audio editing.

Frankly, they should have edited the unedited parts of the release. By this I mean the undercover footage was way too long and uninteresting. Sure, there is nudity and sex, but they could have cut a 15 minute undercover piece to 3 and it be just as good.

If you're a fan of Cheaters this is a must have. If not, watch the show, become a fan, then buy this DVD.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Much for one disc, May 29, 2008
This review is from: Best of Cheaters: Season 1 (DVD)
I like the Cheaters TV show and knew I would like it without all the editing, so, I quickly purchased this product. I assume I should have looked closer, but,I thought I was getting a mulitiple disk set and I got only one disk with two episodes on it...that was it. Two episodes. I was disappointed especially since I paid in excess of $27.00 including the shipping. I won't buy anymore unless I am sure I am getting my moneys worth.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Cheaters" prospers, after all!, June 24, 2003

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

The immortal words of Thomas Jefferson hold new meaning when applied to the concept of Reality Television.

If you think your significant other is experimenting with infidelity, get "Cheaters" on the case. They'll track the allegedly guilty party, collecting videotaped and voice-recorded evidence to support your theory. They'll present the cold, hard truth to you on camera, catching the crestfallen expression on your face...so your betrayer can see the pain they've caused (provided they watch the show).

Your vigilant effort will be rewarded when Tommy Grand or Joey Greco help you confront the man/woman who broke your heart, often in the company of their illicit paramour!

This DVD presents the best cases from "Cheaters," but with never-before-seen material (mostly involving naked people). If you get this hoping for a voyeuristic thrill of sex caught on tape, you'll probably be disappointed. The real value of this DVD is the preservation of a television show upholding the ideals of our great United States: freedom, honor, and the pimp-slap.

Vigilance, indeed.

Basically, I just spent 15.00 for a coaster! I was dissapointed in everything about this DVD. Terrible and repetitive audio, boring "raw uncensored", and stalker training/"Ways to Catch a Cheater" tips. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in every way, shape, and form.
