5.0 out of 5 stars A big hit for a small price!
This little book may seem at first very plain... no colorful pictures inside, no glossy pages. But it does what you want a cheesecake cookbook to do: it gives you 50 mouth-watering recipes, plus 17 extra recipes from "special places" such as The Plaza Hotel and The Regent Beverly Wilshire (all of which are simple enough for the average baker to handle).

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice and efficient
This is a nice little booklet, with a diversity of cheesecake recipes in it. There are no hard to find ingredients listed, and directions are clear for everyone to understand. No fancy techniques needed. It's a small sized book with only recipes, no pictures or coffee table quality intentions. The only purpose is obviously to list recipes that will accomodate every taste.

The lack of pictures is a plus for me. I don't find myself stressing over whether or not my finished product looks as perfect as the one in the photo, as I do with other cheesecake cookbooks with pictures.

The book has yet another bonus: instructions on how to avoid cracks forming in the cheesecake as it bakes, how to give a cheesecake away without giving away the bottom of your springform pan, and how to slice the cheesecake as perfectly as restaurants do.

Overall, a great buy.

This is the first cheesecake cookbook I bought. I found it easy to substitute other ingredients to change the flavor of a given cheescake. My friends think I'm a cheesecake guru and beg me to bring a cheesecake to parties and get togethers. They even offer to purchase the ingredients. I love this book and can't imagine making a cheesecake without it! It easy to make a great cheesecake when the recipes are so easy to follow.

This tiny book solved all my cheesecake problems. The recipes are good and the background info on pages 6-15 was well worth the price of the book. There are no photos of the recipes, but who needs one when your own will come out perfect?

I do a bit of catering, and needed some interesting cheesecake recipes for a luncheon. Ordering this little book, was the best idea! There are no photos, but it really was not an issue for me. The text was interesting, and I also learned some tips on how to slice and serve the cheesecake. Four cheesecakes later, folks are talking about the luncheon, mainly the cheesecakes! I think I will get the other books by this author, they surely will be great too!

i love that book! First of all, the recipes are great, i tried one of the recipes this weekend and result was wonderful. I got some requests from my friends for more cheesecakes in the future gatherings!
And also it is very practical in size, you can put it in your bag and go to the supermarket for shopping, or put it on the kitchen counter without reserving too much space.
And I saw there are a couple of egg-free recipes, which i have not tried yet (but i will soon). That gives some options for egg-allergics, or to the lacto-vegetarians..

3.0 out of 5 stars Small Package, January 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The 50 Best Cheesecakes in the World: The Winning Recipes from the Nationwide "Love that Cheesecake" Contest (Paperback)
This cookbook has a bunch of really good recipies with easy to follow instructions. However, the book is pretty small and the recipies cover 2-3 pages making it a little harder to follow. Also there are zero pictures which makes baking cheesecakes for the first time a little daunting. Good recipies, not so great packaging.

This may be a small book, but it has great recipes in it, and I look forward to trying them. This is a gift for my son who loves cheesecake, and also loves to make them. So, I will be able to use the recipes once in a while. YUM!

I made 3 different cheesecakes within 2 weeks. All were magnificant. The last was very very irish cream cheesecake. Best I ever made and ate. It calls for Baileys Irish Cream. You will love it. I used Bradys Irish Cream. Better than Baileys and cheaper.
