During the period from 2000-2008, Chris Cagle placed 12 singles on the US country charts. Five of these (Laredo, I Breathe In I Breathe Out, What A Beautiful Day, Chicks Dig It and What Kinda Gone) made the top 10, with two others (My Love Goes On And One, Miss Me Baby) reaching the top 15 on the charts. While Cagle was never considered in the top rung of country artists - particularly at award time - his exhuberant baritone is always a pleasure to listen to. The Best Of Chris Cagle contains 15 tracks from his four Capitol albums, including all 12 of the chart hits. It's a great summation of an under-appreciated country artist.

I think Chris Cagle is one of the best country artist ever. I wish he had more CDs and many more videos. I enjoy all his songs (even the ones that weren't hits). I hope we see a new CD and some new videos from him soon. He really is a talented guy and I think he deserves to be a bigger star. He has a better voice than Tim McGraw and he is better looking.

I bought this on a whim, not really knowing Chris Cagle for more than a couple of his songs played on the radio. After listening to the album for a short period of time I realized that I knew more tunes than just 'Chick Dig It' and 'What Kinda Gone'.

This album is a road trip favorite as it has some good high energy tunes ('Hey Y'all' and ' No Love Songs') that are perfect when out on the road. Definitely a score in the Spontaneous Purchase category.

I love this album/cd, I basically own his last four CDs and I have seen him at least once live in concert. Yes it is a repeat of prior albums but it is worth it.

Excellent cd, enjoying it very much and would recommend to others! It has a good mix of his slow and fast songs, great!
