4.0 out of 5 stars Another underrated '77 style punk band, June 10, 2000

This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
Another 3rd wave punk band that stayed true to the roots of punk, sounding decidedly more like the Sex Pistols than the thrashy mohawk-type tunelessness that was in vogue at the time (did somebody say The Exploited! ). In fact, you'll swear that lead singer Glynn Barber is Johnny Rotten's younger brother (uncanny voice similarities). Very similar to Anti-Pasti in musical style, not thrashy at all, but very much in the punk tradition, with good tunes too. With the length of this CD (26 songs) and the fact that it's the only domestically available material by this top-notch band, means it's a must buy for any fan of old-school British punk.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Underrated Bands from the Apocalypse Tour, September 7, 2005

This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
Chron Gen is one of the greatest bands of all time. they have written very good songs. The best songs are The Puppets of War, LSD, Mindless Few, Living next door to Alice, and others. This and The Puppets of War the collection are the only collections from this great band (They released mainly EPs) so that's why there aren't a who lot of albums from these guys
