Stellar CD... not video TITLE,
By A Customer
This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
In case you read nothing but Gregg's review... you'd think this was a music video or tape. NO. It is a CD. You can not judge Corey Hart's video's and decide to buy the CD. You have to like his music. At first he was a ''boytoy'' but his songs went deeper than that. And if you're going to judge this CD by two songs, then go ahead. It'd be stupid to do so, but this is Corey at his best. They weeded out all the mind-numbing songs and put forth his best songs from 5 or 6 albums onto this CD. If you like Never Surrender oo A little Love and you haven't heard the rest, you're sure to not be dissapointed!

Corey Harts' greatest hits album is full of quality songs, from his classic, "Sunglasses at Night", to his uplifting anthem, "Never Surrender". This album is exceptional and a must have for anyones rock collection. Corey Hart was the King of Cool and this album is proof of that!

The best of his songs...from ballads to dance-like pop.,

As a fan of Corey's since the early eighties, it's nice to hear all my favorites put together in one CD. "Everything in My Heart" and "Never Surrender" will always be pure "Corey." My husband and I even used 'Everything' during our wedding reception! ;-) This CD will cover all the bases for someone looking for an easy-listening alternative. All I can ask now is...when's the next album due out Corey?

Not bad - where is Eurasian Eyes???,

A good compilation of Hart's music, which is decent vintage 80's pop, if you can get past the pout! One glaring omission: Where is Eurasian Eyes? This song is featured on the "9 1/2 Weeks" soundtrack, and is Corey Hart's best song, very moody, well done. Check it out on Amazon, listen to the sample. (Actually, that whole soundtrack is very good.) Don't waste your money on Hart's other albums, just buy this. And, Corey, please, no more baby-oiled pouty videos!

Pouting His Way to the US Top 10 music charts in 1984,
By A Customer
This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
Corey Hart will probably go down in pop music history having one of the coolest titles for a song(Top 10 Hit "Sunglasses At Night') The video I never quite understood (Corey is thrown in jail for wearing his sunglasses at night? well anyway he pouts those lips cooing out the song and pouts his way into the Vogue model jail warden's heart who decides to release Corey from his cell. Did he lip-synch for his bail? In 1985, Corey came back with an even bigger hit "Never Surrender". In the video, Corey runs away from home to get in touch with himself and uses his boy toy pout to try and hitch a ride( I remember back when the video was in heavy rotation on MTV, two girls who were friends of mine, would scream that they would definitely pick Corey up). By videos end Corey is seen performing at a nightclub glencining in baby oil belting out the song w/ conviction and a clenched fist as though he was making a statement at a human rights movement rally. All his Top 40 hits are here..so buy the CD...put it on...grab a hair brush and pout your lips and lip-synch to all the hits by the legendary Corey Hart......oh and don't forget to put on a pair of sunglasses while you do this.

A good summary of Corey Hart's U.S. hits,
By
This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
"The Best of Corey Hart", one of the titles in EMI-Capitol Music's "Ten Best Series", is an adequate best-of collection for the casual U.S. fan who is simply looking for Corey Hart's U.S. hits, and nothing more. From 1984 to 1990, 10 of Corey Hart's singles charted in the U.S., all of which, except "Dancin' With My Mirror", were Top 40 hits. This collection includes all 10 of those songs. Nothing more, nothing less.Corey Hart had many more hits in his native Canada, so this collection would probably not satisfy Canadian fans. A better bet for these fans, or any fan outside of Canada seeking a more complete overview, would be 1991's "The Singles", although it is still lacking a few Canadian hits as well. As of yet, there really isn't a comprehensive hits package for Corey Hart. Non-casual fans will either have to continue to wait, or more likely -- make a mix CD of their own. But for the casual U.S. fan who just wants the hits they heard on the radio and on MTV back in the day, this will be enough.

Top of the top shelf,

I have a lot of people that work for me come up and ask me each day, "Hey bossman Nook, I'm a big Corey Hart fan and I'm having trouble deciding whether to buy his greatest hits or singles CD. Which should I get?" I always first of all tell the employee that they are fired for talking to me while on the clock. Second, I tell them to take their last check and get greatest hits. Singles is the same songs, but something about the title gets my calvin klein weiner showcasing briefs in a wad. Like J abs brilliantly stated, Hart was held back. I think a lot of music know it alls thought he couldn't sing because his brothers owen and bret hart were wrestlers and not singers. They couldn't be more wrong. After hearing sunglasses at night, I bought shades for every night of the week.
J abs spun a wonderful tale about a trip to Buffalo Wild Wings, but didn't tell you about the next trip. It was a college football saturday night and Tennuhsee was playing Bama on the big screen. J abs, Kijana Cater, Lawrence Phillips and Me were waiting on some Jerk wings and Corey Hart was being a little slow. Well, don't get LP mad. He just started chasing Corey Hart around the restaurant until he caught him by the grill. He pulled a Rammstein on him and broke his sunglasses into little pieces and peed on his UT hat. He was completely humiliated and quit. I don't know where Corey is working now, but I like this CD.

How does a talent like this get away?????,
By J-Abs "You will never be better than me" (Slidell, LA) - See all my reviews

J-Abs, Nook, Shoney Bear and Cookie Monster are all hanging out one night at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Boro when Nook hits my arm and says "Isn't that 80's rocker Corey Hart?" I was as stunned as everyone else. It was and he was delivering wings to the section 4 of the bar area. It was a little hard to tell it was him at first as he was wearing the sunglasses and well it was 10 pm at night. So we call him over and talk about how the record company screwed him and that if Boy In A Box had ever been released he could have been as big as Hoff eventually. The man held him down. His aura back in the 80's was second to none. So after telling him how great he was back then we decided to bring him back down to earth since well he is working at BW3 now. So Nook calls over the hottest chicks in the bar and they start drooling all over Nook at J-Abs while Corey Hart watched and remembered what it was like to be as good as us. We kind of felt bad for him but still ordered our Jerk wings with buffalo chips. We are the Jerk Wings you are the frozen Kroger brand of Teryiki wings!!
