5.0 out of 5 stars Lives up to its title, June 12, 2007
This review is from: The Best Craft Book Ever (Paperback)
This book is full of creative, easy ideas for kids. Cotton fabric dolls, beginning cross-stitch, string art, weaving, knitting, string balls, pom-poms, sun dial (from a paper plate!), paper roses, boats (made from "trash" items), miniature campsite, miniature playhouse made out of a box (including accessories like lamp, chest of drawers,...), magic tricks, making masks, painting scary faces, dyeing fabric, decorations (parties, seasonal), making marble paper, and box-making are just a few topics in this incredible book. It's a must-have for any young crafter.

I bought this for my friend's daughter as a birthday present. She's one of those kids that takes everything she can get her hands on to make a craft out of it. We got her this book to give her some new inspiration. She loves it! Her mom says she's been consuming it and is grateful for the new ideas. It uses things that she has around the house and basic craft stuff. A great book for the craft lovers in your family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for Adults Too!, October 2, 2008
This review is from: The Best Craft Book Ever (Paperback)
I bought this book for myself as well as my kids. I wanted to learn how to knit, but any "teach yourself to knit" book I've ever seen is too complicated. What better way to learn than when instructions are simplified so even a child can understand! I can't wait to get started on some of the other crafts too. No dull handprint turkeys here - these ideas are exciting and ingenious!

My daughters, ages 9 & 12, were looking to replace Jane Bull's "Great Indoor Outdoor Book" which they had lost. This was the closest thing we could find. It is full of wonderful ideas and crafts, with step-by-step instructions. My eldest wanted to learn to knit, which she easily accomplished using the instructions within. We also did many weaving projects, made marble paper, paper boxes, and salt dough. There was enough to keep us engaged and busy for the summer. You can bet I'll get it back out when the vacation doldrums set in again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Craft book, August 16, 2009
This review is from: The Best Craft Book Ever (Paperback)
This is a great craft book. I bought it to do with my 7 year old and 4 year old. My 7 year old can do many of the crafts with some help, but help is a must for the 4 year old.

My only gripe is that it is the same book as the "Rainy Day Crafts Book" and the "Sunny Day Crafts Book" by Jane Bull, which I had already bought. Had I known I could have purchased this book and not the others.
