The Gibson Brothers CD is a good mix of the famous Afro-Cuban rhythms that so many of us have come to know and love. It is pure Cuban music. So often we get manufactured music, music that record companies think we like to hear or what they think will sell, rather than the true music of the people and the culture...

The Gibson Brothers have made a album that won't win too many grammys and don't hold your breath waiting for it on the NYT bestseller list, but if you are like me and enjoy hearing, un-manufactured, un-filtered, and un-Americanized (or Cuban-Americanized, thanks Gloria) music, that this CD is the one for you.

I have been looking for a cd of original Gibson Brothers recordings for some time. After many disappointments, I found it at last with this cd. Tracks are from the original master tapes and still have the same appeal as they had when I first heard them back in the late 70s & early 80s. If you are looking for Gibson Brothers nostalgia, here it is - for die-hard fans.
