Has All of Their Best Songs!,
By Aaron (Ohio, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 10 best series: The Best of CULTURE CLUB (Audio CD)
Culture Club was a smash in the early/mid 80's with a string of successful pop hits. They are still one of the most remembered pop groups to come out of the 80's. This is a great collection for such a cheap price considering it's loaded with hits. Of course, you get their signature #1 hit from 1984 "Karma Chameleon." Definitely an 80's favorite of mine. You also get the top 5 hit ballad "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" which is also very recognizable. Other top 10 hits include the catchy "Miss Me Blind," "Time (Clock of the Heart)," "Church of the Poison Mind," and another of my personal favorites "I'll Tumble 4 Ya." I also really like "Move Away" and even "The War Song." Any fan of 80's pop music or pop in general should be on the look-out for this collection!

Possibly The Best Budget-Line CD Ever?,
By The Scenario (Roseville, MN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 10 best series: The Best of CULTURE CLUB (Audio CD)
Culture Club have many compilations in print, most of them ruined by having Boy George's later inferior solo work tacked on to it. This budget-line CD is really all the casual fan needs, containing all of the band's Top 40 hits, including the much-maligned (but still fun) "The War Song". As is the case with most budget line CD's, I would imagine that the sound quality here isn't as good as on some of their more "proper" best-ofs. If you're that big of an audiophile, the recent "VH-1 Storytellers/Greatest Moments" collection would probably serve you better. My only complaint - the failed single "Mistake No. 3" (a decent ballad) isn't here. Small error though. This is a very good Culture Club greatest hits set.

All The Culture Club You Will Ever Need,
By A Customer
This review is from: 10 best series: The Best of CULTURE CLUB (Audio CD)
For about a year and a half in the mid 80's this band, most notably its flamboyant lead singer Boy George were everywhere. Some of their singles, while far from cutting edge, were catchy and entertaining, and this CD has them all, except the forgettable "Mistake Number 3." Once the novelty wore off the group faded into its current has been status, and on this CD you have all the Culture Club you will ever need.
